We spent the last 4 days in Johannesburg exploring some of the tourist attractions. The Apartheid Museum was comprehensive and informative and the Cradle of Humankind is an archeological site where some of the oldest hominid fossils have been found. We drove 8 hours to get to Botswana today with our tour group. Our tent is pitched and we're waiting for our buffet dinner to begin. We'll be tenting it for the next 10 nights and are headed to the Okavango Delta tomorrow where we'll take a scenic flight on a small plane.
Happy Easter to all. It's actually a pretty big event here, with a holiday on Friday and Monday. But, the discounted Easter candy at the drug store that we searched for today was in short supply. We probably won't have great Internet access the rest of our trip, but we'll post a wrap-up at some point with pictures if we can't do more before we head back May 8th.
